Lieutenant Michelle Richards (Rebekah Rimington)
Role: Tactical Elite Officer
Species: Human
With every one of her adult relatives fighting crime for a living, it’s no wonder Michelle Richards has policing in her blood. She comes from a family of cops and Espial agents spanning over 100 generations and it’s been rumoured that her ancestors were part of the English constabulary dating back to the 14th century. She’s also a direct descendent of the Espial’s founder Ally Windsor. However, as she was the third-born, her brother took over the reins as the Espial’s Chief Marshal. Given the chance to chose between StarPol and the Espial as a career, she wavered. She eventually continued the proud family tradition by joining StarPol when she was 19 before successfully transferring into the Tactical Elite Unit.
At 28, Michelle has already gained a fearsome reputation amongst QDS and cops alike. Some say it’s in her eyes, with a stare that could make even the toughest QDS cringe. Others said it was her physique. Like her ancestor Ally, she is the part-time marshal with the Espial Paramilitary Group. Such was her physical capabilities, her colleagues soon learnt that if you wanted to stay on side, you don’t mess with her. In fact, she’s so much like the Espial’s founder, many Espial historians believe she’s a splitting image of Ally Windsor.
Michelle doesn’t like to mix business with pleasure. Second-in-command of the Tactical Elite Unit, she expects the same respect on duty from her fellow officers as she would manifest towards them. It is in her mind that one can work only efficiently if their mind is totally focused on the job at hand. Given that trust isn’t something she bestows lightly, anyone who takes advantage of her compassion can expect an instant reprimand and lost of her admiration. It is a well-known fact that once trust is lost, forgiveness becomes a hard earn privilege.
